Mark Page As Read in build 363

Postby tqa » Thu Mar 02, 2006 8:32 am

I upgraded to build 363 this morning and noticed a change in the behavior of the "Mark current page as read" functionality. I have the feature set to "Interactively", as I have in previous builds. Here's what's happening:

- I click on a channel and the page renders.
- I click on another channel.
- The post count for the first channel decreases.

This is different that the behavior of the previous builds. Previously I could view a channel, but unless I explicitly marked the channel read (using the "mark read" button) or browsed to the next page within a channel, the post count would stay the same.

I tried working around this by setting "Mark current page as read" to "Automatically",using both 0 and to 999 seconds, but then switching pages within a channel didn't mark anything read without me explicitly marking the items as read.

I have "Mark previous channel as read when switching channels" un-checked, but it seems like this functionality is turned on, regardless of the state of the check box.

Is there anything I can do to work around this problem and restore the previous functionality? Perhaps something I can add to the ini file?

I have the same problem after upgrading from build 360 to 364. Is it a bug or is there any way to correct this?

I guess there are enough users object to the new "Mark read interactively" behavior. I just updated build 364 to restore previous behavior. Please reinstall build 364. Thanks.
