How to backup my feeds?

Postby Darrin » Mon Sep 05, 2005 9:24 am

Is there a way to back up feeds in Greatnews? If so, how do you restore them again in case a reinstall is needed.

Thanks.

You can export your subscription to a OPML file. Or you can back up newsfeeed.db file directly.

ahhh. So if I back up the newsfeeed.db and have to reinstall greatnews for whatever reason. Simply restoring the newsfeeed.db file should put all my feeds back as they are?

Reinstalling GreatNews will not overwrite your subscription. I spend a great deal of time to make sure the installer will not overwrite user data and will upgrade older version of newsfeed.db automatically. But it's always a good idea to backup newsfeed.db to prevent things like hard disk failure etc.
