Simpy Integration

Postby acrv » Tue Sep 19, 2006 2:34 am

I forward to you the answer I got from Simpy:

I took at GreatNews site and couldn't find any mention of or
Furl integration, but I did see it described in the forum, where I also
found your post.

The answer to GreatNews site guy's question is:
Yes, Simpy does have an open URL to let applications integrate with it.
I think GreatNews people are looking for information described in this post: ... Blogs.html

That really boils down to this "open URL":
add
to simpy

UUU needs to be replaced with an appropriate URL (blog post URL)
TTT needs to be replaced with an appropriate Title (blog post title)

I hope this helps, and I appreciate you lobbying for Simpy integration
with GreatNews! If you or they have any more questions, please let me know.

Thanks for the Simpy information. You can use GreatNews blog this feature to integrate Simpy, much like the way how to integrate Digg.

1. Goto Tools->Options->Features->Configure Blog Tools

2. Creat a new Blog Tool, and name it Simpy. The parameters are shown in the screenshot. The URL field is:

3. Save and close Options dialog.

Now I understand. It is very useful. One can configure how many tools wants. I still appreciate the work of Simpy's team, but, as I hinted to you, I discovered Linkagogo and switched to it. I followed your instructions. Similar to Blogger, it makes it easier to copy the url of your personal page, so you can go directly to 'new post' in blogger, or to 'add page' in a bookmarking site.
