Exactly. :D

Build 370 is there for a while. But there's no much new stuff in it, so I didn't release it.

Dont fix what isn't broken

369 is great. I have tried every reader out there, and was a faithful Feeddemon user for years, until I switched to GN a few months ago. I veered off and tried a few others, but stayed with GN. Its simple, & fast - my advice is not to lose that.

Same here Chender :) I just found and tryed Greatnews a few days ago and was a faithfull FeedDemon user until it was bought by Newsgator.

Greatnews is really nice. I love the search channel options where I can subscribe to feeds like flickr for keywords.

I can't wait until podcasting is implemented and hope the programmer adds bit torrent support as well when adding the podcast support when he adds it.

Great program GreatNews.

GN is GrrrreeaAATTT! (said in the voice of Tony the Tiger (unforntunately several years deceased)). I saw an RSS extension for FireFox and thought, 'Why even bother?'. GN does everything I need. Well, except for generating truckloads of cash and attracting super hot chicks. :( :p

DOA?

Postby cyblivious » Sun Jun 25, 2006 4:35 am

Is GreatNews still alive? It was 1 thing i liked about GreatNews, the frequent updates that brings new features and bug fixes. But it's been so long since the last one that i'm wondering if it's still alive.

GN got a lot more stable since earlier builds, so I no longer see the need for frequent updates.

Dude, it's summer, give Jack a break! Besides, is ~2 months really "so long"? I think that Jack spoiled some of us too much with frequent updates...

I used to be able to kick my kid to bed after 8:30. But it's next to impossible in summer. It's pretty hard to work on GreatNews when you have a little monkey siting on your neck...

GreatNews is 2 and half year old. I'm pretty sure it's going to stay MUCH longer than that.

Didn't really mean anything bad, just that i can't wait to see what's new for GreatNews. Can't really leave without it. Just have such high expectations for it for each new release. :D
