Being able to download Feeds behind a corporate firewall

... is what GN can do. Why is it that other RSS Readers cannot do this? (Did not try every one out there but the major players...). What kind of a special regime is it that allows this to GN and not others? I tried them with/without Proxy settings and also setting them co copy Internet Explorer's se...

Work-in-progress report?

Hi JackPan,

could you enlighten us as to what are we to expect in next version(s) and if you are currently working on something, what it is?

I have no idea of your personal/business Life outside GreatNews sphere, so if you say you are busy, then we just wait! 8)

I second this request!

With some feeds it even happens that I put a Label on some messages, set up the cleaning to not delete these labeled messages and later when GN re-downloads (zombie) messages, they get placed after those labeled ones, even if the zombies are older.

Hi, experiencing something similar with a phpBB 3.0 RSS feed here (just this one out of nearly 40 other fora I keep my RSS Eye on). http://icefire.tym.cz/forum/syndication.php?count=20 It keeps regularly downloading all latest 20 (as per the config parameter) posts whether or not there are any new o...

I guess not (at least I have not seen one)...
The only solution would be making two windowsin GN, but then I think it would be a waste of your resources, if it is just my request alone...

Thx both for answering!

I guess I shall yet wait with Mozilla engine till it is in a stage to be deployed as a standalone one, not with workarounds

Opera core possibly? Or Firefox as a second option?

Hi,

As GN is using IE core (btw, which one? IE 6?), would it be possible to make it on different one - Opera, or possibly Firefox?

3-Pane view - expanded?

Hi, an idea struck me - would it be possible to add multiple-monitor support? Cause I am using Notebook and CRT Monitor together and if I could have Feeds and News list on NB and Reading Pane on CRT..... 8) It is achievable when I resize it, but once I maximize, it will fit only one screen... So may...

Adding News Watch with Right-click on feed entry Title

Hi, a feature would be nice and useful especially for RSS feeds from Fora. It could be done so that if you right-click on an entry (a single response from a fora in this case) you could add a News Watch for that Forum Topic Name and for instance let it be marked Read from that point on or not to be ...
