Re: This looks pretty good full screen

I think it's a good starting point for a new style, but the color scheme needs a little more work ( look here for inspiration ) - e.g. the link color clashes with the headline background. The font selection is chaotic too, try to stick to one or two (similar) fonts. And stop using Comic Sans , pleas...

Re: Google Reader Integration

I don't use neither Google Reader (tried it a looong while back though), nor BlogLines (never tried that one at all), and my time is limited, so bear with me if I'm not "getting" something here. Seeing how GR is another feed reader, what kind of integration are you thinking of? Just syncin...

Well, works for me... Does it crash when you use a fresh, clean installation?

Re: Feed font colors not showing

You might've picked a bad example there, but... I can't see any fancy color usage, neither on the site , nor in the feed (use "view source" option), nor in the comment feed ("view source" again). What's not there can't be rendered. (IMHO it's correct this way, since style element...

Re: Option disable "Remind me to run Cleanup Wizard every"di

Should be a trivial change... But until someone gets around to that: http://www.curiostudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2951 Or, go to the relevant feeds' settings, set "Clean up news older than:" to "never" - Then you can simply let the wizard do its thing without it delet...

Re: GreatNews 1.0.386-ktm

I will publish your release out this weekend. Does that mean it's getting promoted to be an official release? If so, great! :) If you plan to keep doing that, there'd be no need to remove the online check and updater. About a central repository: Can't see what's wrong with SVN. I haven't used git, ...

GreatNews 1.0.386-ktm

Here we go... No big changes, just some small stuff for now (not that I've anything big planned): Changes: + Removed CVS directories and lots of other unnecessary artifacts + Updated project files to Visual Studio 2008 (Sorry if you're stuck with 2005, I don't have that one and don't feel like going...

Re: GreatNews goes open source

It's been a year now since the last update (which was marked as a beta and never made it to an official release). The "going open source" message is a quarter of a year old, too... And according to his profile, Jack hasn't even visited this forum this year. I don't think anything much is g...

Re: Is there a setting I'm just not seeing?

I get what your problem is, and it's something that's kept bugging me too... Haven't found a way around that either. So, unfortunately, I think we'll have to live with that behavior.
Maybe once Jack finally gets around to releasing the source...?

Re: Suggestion: Ability to Change Font Size

You should clarify specifically which fonts you mean. Either way, I'd say you already have that ability: If you want bigger UI texts, there's some setting in Windows regarding to screen dpi or whatever. I haven't got a Windows box handy, so I can't help you finding it, but it's there somewhere - and...

Re: GreatNews goes open source

I hope to finalize this in the Christmas break. Already more than a week into the new year, and still nothing... I really hope this doesn't sink into oblivion like build 815 (which never made it out of its beta thread) did. Almost every update to WINE (I'm using (well, trying to ) GN under Linux) b...

Valid feed, but news items not showing up

This feed is supposedly valid (according to this and this validator), and works perfectly with Opera and Firefox - but none of the items in it show up in GreatNews. Since I'm routing all of my traffic through a filtering proxy anyways, I even tried rewriting it on-the-fly into a different, simpler ...

I'm running Debian Etch w/ the latest wine version from the WineHQ repository. If I just run GreatNews.exe, wine wants to install the Gecko engine, and if I decline that GN seems to work, apart from the "Proxy-Error-Success" message - and the html rendering of course, which makes it kinda ...
