Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity. Good look on your "hunt" for something better.

Jack, any update on this? I noticed that the latest built still ignores the

[Advanced]
NumOfConcurrentUpdate=x

setting.

I have this exact same problem when I try to read feeds while GN is still updating other feeds. And very often I get a "database locked" message. I am surprised this issue has not been raised earlier (or maybe it has and I just didn't see). I know Jack is still improving GN and hasn't prim...

Thank you Jack, much appreciated.

Main reason why I rely on this (undocumented) feature is because when GN uses the default number of simultaneous connections, I repeatedly get failed feed updates and complains about a locked database when I try to read a feed while updating.

I am not sure but it seems in the latest versions of GN, NumOfConcurrentUpdate is being ignored. For debugging purposes I entered NumOfConcurrentUpdate = 1, nevertheless GN updates various feeds at once.

Oups, I updated, and then while browsing through my feeds, I had the first random GN crash ever. Meaning GN just quit without showing an error message or anything. Not sure what has caused it but if I find a way to reproduce, I'll post about it. Like I said, in all this time that was the first time ...

Thanks Jack.

Would it be possible to add GN to the list in the Sounds tab, so that one could disable the sound in GN, but still leave it at default for other apps like Windows Explorer?

[suggestion:] Option to turn off clicking sound

Right now, whenever I click on a news feed or on a feed item, GN plays the Windows XP Start.wav sound from c:\Windows\Media. This is quite annoying, especially when you listen to music or watch a movie on your computer at the same time. So it would be nice if there was an option to disable the click...

[371] "Enter"-key ignores external browser selection

Hi, Under options -> usability, I have selected "External browser" for both, "Double clicking in news list should open web pages in" and "Clicking links in reading pane should open rss article in". That works as expected when I use the mouse to navigate through the news list. However, when I use the...
