If you want that i suggest you get Feed Demon. One of the best Reader on the market as well. Personally i am very happy ever since i try Greatnews becoz it uses less system resources. Hi Just a update to the problem. I find the main reason is not with Firefox now. Because the loaddivrttab does actually work properly with *most* application. But just now Greatnews!! Is there a different way to pass the parameter to Firefox? Because all other application like Thunderbird , MSN , IC...

i would rather you fix those Greatnews bugs :D They seems to think they have solved the problem. ( Although it hasn't be labeled as "fixed" ) Although i dont think going into details in here is anyuse at all since no one in here give a damn anyway............. Just hope that it get fixed before 1.5 ...

i thought of pre allocation as well before i read your post. But how much space to preallocate? Base on No. of Feeds / channels? etc.. um..... yeah...... ever since my MST defrag run out of beta Greatnews has been running slow....

Is there any way around this apart from defrag? I mean keeping newsfeed.db not fragmented. I know it is a OS level job so it would properly means impossible...

ok.... i kinda get what you mean. Then could you add a option " Force links to open in external browser" so under ALL situation the links would open in external browser? P.S - Now i got to sort out how to keep firefox from bring into foreground evertime it gets a link opened from another application...

I think this bug has been annoying me for a while that i need to post about it. The fact that Greatnews somtimes open links in External Browser. i will do it on late friday or sat. Coz i will be busy for the next 36 hours.. ( fds Birthday :D)

Currently newsfeed.db is at 40Mb.
Is this large or small? As i have done a clean up only a week ago.

Thanks. I was just about to complain on Greatnews getting EXTREMELY slow on reading, rendering... etc.

Currently it have VERY LOW memory usage. I wouldn't mind to take 1 - 3 Mb of ram to increase. Currently Greatnews always stop responding for a few seconds and the screen become white........
