Happy Niu Year 2009!
2008 is an eventful year for many people, me included. I hope everyone went through it unscathed just like me. 2009 is the year of Ox, which is spelled as ‘Niu’ in Chinese PinYin and pronounced as ‘New’. So it sounds like going to be a really wonderful year. I wish everyone a very happy Niu Year 2009!

A standalone GreateNews is better than one embedded in Firefox. See the NewsFox limitation.

GreatNews improves rapidly. Beta versions will display a message after 30 ~ 60 days to prompt user to upgrade to latest build. Although all functions will continue to work indefinitely, it’s recommended to upgrade for compatibility.

I really thank you for the great program. But as others are moving foward, GN is stalled. It’s sad.

Just bumped into GreatNews (RSS Software) and I love it. Are you still activily developing this.
It’s very light weight and most importantly PORTABLE.

And another new year begins! Thanks for the update about open source. I’m a big fan of open source software and hope that opening it up can make the software even more robust.
