I saw that too. I blogged about it at http://leehopkins.net/2006/05/16/clippings-from-the-bettercomms-garden-2/ (it’s the second-last item). Jack Vinson also loves GreatNews, as do I and Allan Jenkins (http://allanjenkins.typepad.com/my_weblog/) who put me on to you!
Cheers for such a great aggregator — now, any way that you can cache images so that I can see the images that come with the post when I’m offline? Cheers, Lee

Is GreatNews going to remain a freeware application forever? If it is going to be made a commercial application, will there be a user interface overhaul (a little proffesionalism in the look, IMHO) before the final product is made available?
“Thank you for your patience.”

The only way to keep GreatNews alive in long term is to make a profit of it. Making it a commerical app is probably the easiest way but not the only way. I’d like to see if there’s some subtle way to bring in some ad-sponsed content. If I decide to charge a fee on the software it’s more likely be some functional enhancements than major UI look and feel change.
